2002-02-10/ clearances are a girl's best friend.
hee! i did unbelievable things yesterday.
first off, some crazy person had come into the library the day before and given out golden tickets for free meals at the cracker barrel(ha). so mum and i went for free lunch. (there is such a thing as a free lunch. whee.) during which the nice waitress told us to get the most expensive things on the menu. since everything on any menu anywhere is mostly meat and starch, vegetable platters are what remain for me. yay.
afterwards, to the goodwill we went, where i bought a skirt; then to the "mall", to buy some shirts to go along with my forthcoming boots and tights. usually, i'll just buy some odd article of clothing every couple of years which catches my eye to add to my collection and hope will go along with something else i already own.
i have, this time, actually bought an entire outfit, replete with a black leather headband. my goodness.of course. everything was on the clearance rack or in the bargain basket. :D because i will not let go of my purse strings for anything.
ant! i got a tiny little phone shaped like a star, with an earpiece/microphone. yay.
i haven't had a phone in years.
yes. i am a material girl.
